Lee, right, sisters. in the school near the Web Rosa farm in Frankville Twp. Knudt, Lalla and Carrie lived in the original farm house. Knudt's son Norman and his family lived in a house that had been moved to the farm from the Washington Prairie Church yard where it was used for Sunday School classes. Carrie spent many hours playing Canasta and Mexicana with her niece and nephew. She helped them with their homework and Sunday School lessons. She taught them although she never had them as students. Carrie was a very kind person and had very strong Lutheran values. She was a member of Washington Prairie Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and ALCW (American Lutheran Church Women). She had been baptized in the Borgund Stave Church in Norway. In her early years Carrie was a sales clerk at the Anderson and Klein Store and Gunderson Dept. Store in Ossian. Carrie cared for her brother Knudt and her sister Lalla until they died. Carrie died 15 Mar 1988. L-20 See the associated scan to compare with the published information. |
